Aiobhe Labyrne
"Just got to take what you get.. when the chance arises"
Aiobhe (Eva) was born a limsan merchants daughter, raised along with her family to continue her fathers trade. Growing up, she spent plenty of time around the docks and learned to negotiate, ply for business, and handle a hot-headed Roegadyn just as well as her parents could. The miqo'te had something of a bright future ahead of her- for her trade, at least- until one fateful day.Whilst out along with her father, brother and a crew of Roegadyn sailors, her ship was beset by a ferocious airship assault. Crippling the engine and rudder with one perfectly placed shot, the stricken merchantship was boarded and crew swiftly overcome.Aiobhe, upon strict instruction from her father, hurried down into the cargo hold -finding a suitable crate in the far corner to hide within, for fear of being captured or worse.Unbeknownst to her, the crew of the ship were sent to a watery grave without mercy. The cargo hold was pilfered -every last crate hauled up in nets to the awaiting airship which departed after sending the ship to the bottom of the ocean. When Aiobhe was found, it was too late - crate securely lodged into the cargo hold of the airship. She was given two options.1 - to provide her obedience and service to the Captain for five years, without question or wavering commitment, and in turn would be granted her freedom
2 - to be tossed overboard along with the junk in the cargo and left for dead. The Miqo'te picked wisely- at least, in her eyes. Servitude was to be no different to manning the merchantship, she thought- fixing shorn bolts, tying loose rope, cargo manifests, perhaps a spot of scrubbing - but she swiftly learned of the Captain and her tendency to deliver swift and ruthless punishments for even the smallest slight. Aiobhe had signed her life away to someone who knew well the virtues of a good, healthy, fair looking woman - a slave to a ruthless slave-owner and trader who would gleefully indulge in watching her suffer should she displease. Two years have passed since that fateful day- and despite her first missteps and with one or two brandings upon her inner thigh as a permanent reminder of her existence to work under the captains ever-increasing demands, Aiobhe has found herself to be something of a relied-upon slave-girl. One could even consider herself almost part of the crew- given freedom at times to roam the airship and even the docks, helping to barter for good pricing on hauls, even chastise local workers for not pushing hard enough.Should ever she forget her place, however, or if she dared to think of leaving, her punishment was ever swift and brutal. The collar around her neck tracked her down to the yalm, and was quite designed that should her captain think she needed reminding, could zzap her into near total submission without a second thought. And yet, compared to the fate of her father and brother, and just as many other merchantment and women who had been caught, traded off and sold? A pirate's life for Aiobhe.Physical Attributes5 fulms tall
